ERGOT p_art cloudatlas : omiotu

CLOUD ATLAS i call this very simple growing map of projects. In the beginning when i did a first version i was calling it pix_cell or calc_cell and it was supposed to visualize the calc_memory of places, collaborations, projects. But when i first read about the Cloud Atlas i thought its the better metaphor.

The three images you see on the left i did in order to make my presentation in the ERGOT, coming 3rd of November, less boring. The 1st one shows the selection of the most important projects i did or i was part in the last 41 years, and the places where they started. Back then we thought we soon will animate this map and make visible all connections in between the works as well – relations, proportions, collaborations, inter-sections.. but then the times they were a changin and it remained what it is: a simple map which helps to orientate.

So in the ERGOT i will project these images. When the 2nd one pops up we’ll see all the highlighted projects which i have chosen for my presentation. I felt that i should do this presentation because “lots” of people asked me to do something like that. The 3rd image i did for myself to not loose the red thread.. the 4th and 5th image at end is the invitation card i just did. The last pic is the storyboard i did with all images that will be projected.

I want to talk about art. And i will use visual examples of art that i find enough interesting to point out some questions: Where do ideas come from? What is “more real”, the I or the We? Since i understand Art first of all as a collaboration with life (with what Is, instead of what Should Be) the whole evening is meant as an invitation to collaborate. Art or not. All open. I wonder.
